Citrus Herb Vinaigrette

This recipe was found by my wife on Recipezaar while looking for some new ideas for a vinaigrette. It came highly recommended and had numerous five-star ratings. It is supposed to be a  Copycat recipe of Bonefish Grills house dressing. I recently took some over to my mom’s house for her birthday and it has become her new favorite salad dressing. 


2/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/4 cup of white sugar

3 tablespoons of water

2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar

4 teaspoons of pressed garlic

1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard

2 teaspoons FRESH squeezed lime juice

2 teaspoons FRESH squeezed lemon juice

2 1/4 teaspoons dried cilantro

1/2 teaspoon dried basil

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper

Directions: Blend all ingredients in a blender until well emulsified.

Highly recommended: Serve this over mixed salad greens topped with tomato, artichoke hearts, feta cheese, and pine nuts.
